You returned back to the police station swiftly jogging to keep up with Sherlock’s long strides as he made his way down the twisting halls and past the numerous rooms. You didn’t even know that the police station was this big.

You walked past a couple of large navy doors.

“Haven’t we been past here?” you asked, putting on a run to catch up to Sherlock’s side. “Also, please slow down.”

Sherlock glanced at your tired red face as you jogged beside him.

“To your first question, no. Also, if you can’t keep up with me you need to exercise more,” Sherlock stated bluntly, slowing his pace slightly.

“I go jogging six times a week and you didn’t notice?” you exclaimed defensively. “And what do you do exercise wise in a week?”

Sherlock made an amused grunt and smiled. He quickly took your hand and pulled you into a navy door that led to an empty room. You raised your eyebrows as he locked the door behind him and led you further into the room. He didn’t even bother with the light switch and there were no windows.

“Really? In here? I didn’t think you were one for quickies?” you speculated.

Sherlock winked at you, which made you blush bright red. You let go of his hand and went for the door. As much as you did like Sherlock a locked room in a police station wasn’t really your favoured place.

Sherlock beat you to the door, holding your wrist gently. You frowned at him. He pressed a finger to lips, then his ear, and then the door. You understood and listened.

Gentle footsteps thudded down the hallway, stopping in front of the door, before carrying on down the hallway, a shadow dancing across the floor.

“Who was–” you began before Sherlock’s lips were quickly pressed against yours, abruptly shutting you up as the footsteps stopped, turned around and proceeded to come close to the door. Your eyes flitted closed as Sherlock released your wrists, only for your arms to wrap around his neck and pull him closer, pushing your fingers into his curly hair.

Sherlock smiled into the kiss as his arms wrapped around your waist. The doorknob rattled gently, the person on the other side shaking it, trying to get into the room.

As soon as the kiss became more heated Sherlock pulled away. You pouted and he motioned towards the door. The rattling had stopped yet you could still see a shadow beneath it.

There was a grunt from neither you nor Sherlock and it sounded like a male voice.

The shadow stepped away from the door and returned to proceeding down the empty hall.

You opened your mouth to speak before Sherlock shot you a look that said be quiet . You shut your mouth quickly.

After a couple of minutes of silence Sherlock stepped in front of you, unlocking the door and holding your hand. He pulled you out of room and down the hallway, deeper into the hallways of the police centre.

“Where are you going?” you asked.

“The morgue. And the chief’s office,” Sherlock replied quickly.

“But it’s late. We might get locked in,” you said worriedly.

“That’s even better!” Sherlock chirped, which annoyed you.

You preferred not to be trapped inside a police stations at night.
The morgue ... at night? Spoopy or not spoopy?
