You woke up, later than usual, with the sunlight seeping through your bedroom curtains. You were quite confused – had Sherlock carried you all the way back to your shared flat?

You stretched your arms, relieved to still find yourself in your clothes from last night and that they were surprisingly warm and cosy.

You crept out of your bed and walked around a bit until you found Sherlock sat in the living room with a warm drink.

“Thanks for carrying me back here,” you mumbled through a yawn.

Sherlock grunted in acknowledgment.

“I didn’t undress you because I knew you would give me hell for it,” Sherlock commented quietly.

“Quite right I would have done,” you smirked, walking into the kitchen and turning the kettle, the thoughts of a mild Earl Grey were the perfect thought for the current morning. Sherlock’s phone buzzed a couple of feet from him. “Sherlock. Phone.”

“I can’t get it.”

“It’s within an arm’s reach.”

“I’m working.”

“You’re reading the paper, stop being lazy and get your phone.”

“You get it.”

“Ugh. Fine, I’m reading the message though.”

Sherlock looked up at you when you rifled through the above cupboards, looking for the tea bags.

“There’s no more Earl Grey,” Sherlock smiled, sipping his drink.

You glared at him, taking a few strides and swiping his phone up.

It was a message from Lestrade. You smiled and read it out.

“Sherlock, station has been broken into, come quick, Lestrade.” Sherlock watched you as you handed him the phone. He took it from you, skimming over the message.

“Meh.” Sherlock’s blasé attitude amused you.

“We should go and explain,” you replied, lifting up the files you basically stole from the chief’s office.

“That is a very good choice, but knowing Lestrade he’s already outside since I didn’t reply within two minutes,” Sherlock sighed. Shortly after a rap of knocks was heard on the front door. “That’s him.”

“Let’s not answer,” you told him, rubbing your fore head. You were beginning to get a head ache.

“Surely Lestrade would be able to work out who broke in,” Sherlock mumbled to himself, folding his newspaper up and placing it down.

“Sherlock, we have you and [Name] on the CCTV,” Lestrade shouted.

You groaned. “I told you they had CCTV.”

Sherlock stood from his seat and swiftly answered the door, allowing Lestrade into the flat. Lestrade glanced at you as you slowly but surely began drinking the rest of Sherlock’s tea, which was Earl Grey, only to find it disgusting.

“This is foul,” you grumbled when Sherlock looked at Lestrade.

“You’ll need to come back to the police station, for questioning, because regardless of who you are it was still breaking and entering when you snooped around the police station and broke some of the locks. Which you will also be paying for,”  Lestrade explained. You glanced at Sherlock’s tea and followed him out of the flat. Apartment. Whatever.
